As I'm writing this, I'm just catching up with what I haven't shared. I've been taking progress photos, but I've been horrible at writing about them.
Last week was fall break. That's misleading.
I apologize if this post and the next don't talk much about my painting techniques, but I really just want to talk about where I am right now. The beginning of fall break consisted of me getting 19 hours of sleep in less than a 30 hour time frame. So, this semester is exhausting. That's not the point, though. Man, making art takes a lot out of you.
Back to this image. At this stage, I was really gaining some progress. Everything had taken shape, but it was a little lack luster. After getting to this point, I went back in with a lot of details and a few really long studio days. In this image, look at how blurry the background is and how the circular part of the fan is a bit dull. You can tell what it is, but it's just okay. That frustrated me a bunch. I was extremely happy about the legs on my figure, though. the way they sort of blend in the background and mess with your eyes.
I don't have a witty way to end this. Just read the next post.
